As un-girly as I am in most ways, there is one thing that I can depend on as reliably as the sun rising in the morning and setting again at night:
If you put a bunch of women in a room, we’ll inevitably end up discussing our boobs, our butts and our periods. I think it’s a genetic thing, really. We can’t help it. It’s the one thing that we all have in common, regardless of our differences — we all seem to gravitate towards those TMI conversations!
My period and I don’t really get along. I have endometriosis and, as a result, have very long and heavy cycles. I switched to a Diva Cup to help and will never switch back to tampons/pads. That said, it’s always a good idea to have a bit of back-up and I tend to prefer the longest thinnest liners I can find. These can be a bit hard to track down, but I’m committed enough to my personal comfort that I’m willing to do the legwork. The Always Thin liners are the best disposable products on the market and my usual choice of back-up protection.
Earlier this year, I was asked to try a sample of a new Always product and provide some feedback. I’m pretty much always game to try free stuff, so I signed up. The Always Infinity is a long thin pad that is not much thicker than a liner. There are a variety of things in the design that make it fit quite comfortably without the usual bulk and sliding of other products. I gave it two thumbs up and, while I won’t be using it on a regular basis myself due to my Diva Cup, am glad to know it’s there as an option.
In preparation for the Canadian launch of this product, I am happy to be able to give a sample package of this to a lucky reader. All you have to do is respond to this post w/ a valid email and a little “too much information” of your own.
Closed for entires on June 29th, 2009. Winner will be announced on June 30th, 2009.
Bring it on, Ladies! Don’t hold back!

Teeehee! I think this is a neat way to hold a contest lady. I don’t want to be in the contest b/c I use the diva cup / cloth liners
but it’s a neat idea.

Srsly, have I ever had a convo w/o TMI?
Comment by Melissa 24 June 2009 @ 12:54 pm.. I think that time we talked about bacon…?
Comment by Soire 24 June 2009 @ 10:36 pmre: bacon Maybe, but even then I devolved it into a conversation about an erotic dream I had involving Jim Cuddy.
I’m pretty sure that was likely TMI for you!
Comment by Melissa 25 June 2009 @ 7:38 amI’m still a pads girl. I have a DivaCup I ordered about a year ago, but it didn’t work for me. I really tried — throughout two cycles — but OH MY GOD THE PAIN, so I had to quit. Back to Always!

Comment by Lynn 24 June 2009 @ 1:47 pmMaybe the size was wrong for you? The “tail” at the bottom can be trimmed shorter too. I found it took about 4 months before I was confident using it.
