I’m not an artist, nor do I ever expect to become one, but I sure like to doodle. Sometimes I forget just how much I enjoy it and go months (or years) without putting pen to paper, but I always rediscover it just when I need something new on which to focus. It’s a great way for me to free my mind of clutter and de-stress.
Here’s my current WIP (work in progress) — it’s a bit of a jumbled mess, but I like it because it allows me to be as scattered in thinking as I need to be, filling in each space with whatever comes to mind:

What do you like to do to get your mind off of things and relax?

That’s neat! I’m a doodler, no question. But with no talent whatsoever
Ditto. It’s taken me well into adulthood to decide that my lack of talent doesn’t need to be a stumbling block — that doodling is an end in itself.
