Got today’s follow-up bloodwork results and they’re good. I’m happy but perplexed because I am still spotting and a different sort of crampy from what I remember of my early 2nd pregnancy. I’m going to be cautiously optimistic, though, as the numbers are good.

I had spotting this morning, so I called to book follow-up bloodwork for tomorrow. Despite all the reassurances from the clinic, I expect the inevitable. I think I’ve lost pretty much all faith in my body’s ability to stay pregnant and that totally sucks.

I’ve posted about my struggles with Effexor before.
When I started taking it, it was an incredible help — it made it possible for me to get out of a place wherein I was trapped with no hope of escape. There are few things in my life that have been scarier than being trapped in the quicksand of my own mind, and Effexor rescued me.
Every silver lining has a storm cloud above it, though, and Effexor proved this in spades.

I deliberated over whether or not this was something I wanted to share here yet. There are definate pros and cons to both sides of the issue but in the end I figured I’d post about it as, if it all went toes over nose, I’d want to feel free to post about bad news.
