I tried this out a couple night ago and everyone really enjoyed it. It’s a great baking sauce or marinade, lending some Asian flavours to a more traditional BBQ-style sauce. Use it to spice up some chicken or pork, or as a sauce over cooked veggies with a sprinkle of sesame seeds!
1/2 Cup hoisin sauce
1/2 Cup ketchup
2 Tbsp tamari
2 Tbsp mirin
4 tsp curry powder
4 tsp roasted sesame oil
1.5 tsp Vietnamese chili garlic sauce (I like Rooster Brand)
If you like a spicier sauce, add more chili garlic sauce to the mix! Whisk together until smooth. Makes approximately 1 Cup of sauce.
