Being a long-time fan of Nellie’s All Natural Laundry Soda, I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce this product to one of my readers. In fact, it’s the #1 detergent I recommend to friends with environmental sensitivities, small children, or washing cloth diapers!

I prefer detergents with a short list of ingredients that work easily in my HE front-loading washer without any extra steps, such as first dissolving the powder in warm water.  Nellie’s All Natural Laundry Soda is the only powder I’ve used in my washer that hasn’t resulted in caked detergent on freshly-washed clothing. It dissolves quickly and rinses extremely well.

Somehow, despite having two older children, I’d missed out on taking advantage of the various “movies for moms” programs at the different theatres in town, so when I was given the opportunity to go check out Empire Theatres Reel Babies I jumped on it! I called up a friend and we trucked over to see Brad Pitt in “Moneyball” with my 17mos old and her 9mos old. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but certainly had few hopes of actually watching the movie.

As un-girly as I am in most ways, there is one thing that I can depend on as reliably as the sun rising in the morning and setting again at night:

If you put a bunch of women in a room, we’ll inevitably end up discussing our boobs, our butts and our periods.  I think it’s a genetic thing, really. We can’t help it. It’s the one thing that we all have in common, regardless of our differences — we all seem to gravitate towards those TMI conversations!
