This seemed a logical follow-up to my last post, and it’s a drink that I enjoy very much.

The beauty of pre-mixing the concentrate is that it is ready to go for iced coffee, and iced latte or mochaccino, or any other fancy mixed drinks. Like the iced tea concentrate, this lends easily to scaling up or down, depending on your needs. It will keep for up to a week in the fridge.

It’s no secret that I love molasses — a quick inventory tells me I’ve about 4 litres of different grades of molasses in my kitchen at this exact moment. This is a quick and easy drop cookie recipe that makes a moist, chewy, but not too sweet cookie — just right for satisfying a molasses craving!

Something about gloomy, damp weather calls out for comfort food, and tuna casserole ranks high on my list of stick-to-the-ribs grub that tastes of happiness. It’s a deceptively simple dish and every family has their own twist on it. Mine is pretty straight-forward.

I love homemade bread. I don’t love kneading it. This recipe produces light, airy rolls with a minimum of work, and the addition of whole wheat and millet flours provide a wonderful nuttiness to the flavor. You can easily change up the flavor by replacing the millet flour with another accent flour, such as buckwheat or rye. I buy my flour locally from Mountain Path, through my Buying Club.
